My 1990 300E shifts early, bogs down, but yet will often shift just right. Trans fluid and filter have been changed, the car has 135K miles on it. When driving through the hills it will bog down and you must stomp the accelerater hard to get it to past this bogged down condition.

Any advice ideas are welcome and appreciated.

linkage.

adjust the linkage from accelerator to transmission control valve.

there is alignment guide on it. see if it's aligned.
