Car stalls when idling. I attempt to re-start it and it turns and turns but will not start. Generally, about 15 minutes later, it starts right up. Anyone have any ideas on the cause?

Also, the other day, the radiator fan turned on and did not turn off until the battery was completely drained. Got car jump started and problem has not occurred again. Any ideas?

Car has been in shop for a week with no progress on repairing it.

COULD BE WIRING HARRNESS TO ENG CHECK TO SEE IF ITS CRACKED UP AT THE CIOL PACKS AND INJECTORS....POSSILBE ..MASS AIR METER,,BEST THING TO DO IS TO GET IT SCANNED ,,IS CHECK ENG. LIGHT ON???

 

Thank you. I will suggest this to the technician. I was driving at a low speed a few days ago and the engine sputtered and nearly stalled, the Check Engine light came on. However, since then it has turned off. However, after this occurred is when the other problem started - the stalling when idling. It only does it occasionally.
