Question 1994 E320 Wagon - Leaking heater line

My wife's wagon has developed a leak in the fittings on a hose in front of the firewall on the right side. (All references to position are when viewing from the front looking to the rear.) This line is attached at the rear of the engine and to an aluminum line to the left of the brake booster. If those were the only two connections, it wouldn't be a problem. But there is a smaller hose that branches off from the main one near the brake booster and disappears down the front of the firewall. Can anyone tell me where that hose goes?

Cool Heater hose

Need to replace the "Y" hose and fitting on my w124 wagon. I've got it all disconnected exept the smaller hose that runs to the lower left, when viewing from the front. can someone tell me where to find the other end so I can remove it. Please tell me I can find it from inside the engine compartment! Thanks for any help.

Des speck, I wish I could offer some advice, but I decided to take it in to my repair shop here in Tulsa. It took the mechanic about two hours, but he got to it from under the hood. He had to take a lot of the trim and plastic on the firewall off to gain access to it. He told me that he worked mostly by feel. If you are doing it yourself, good luck.

Default Heater hose W124

Found it! It's just below the "Y" to the left up under some other lines/harness. Had to remove the plastic drain trim and covers for the cabin filter. It's not easy to reach, but I got it. Time to order the new parts. I'll try to post some photos of the reassembly.
