Default Windows aren't sealing

Hey all, I've gone through this throw a couple of times but I don't think I've seen anything with my specific problem. I have a 2004 CLK 500 convertible. Everything I was working just fine until the car died. After jumping the car I am getting a convertible not locked warning and my windows are not sealing like they should. The drivers and passenger side window sit about a millimeter below closing and I cannot get them to go up no matter what I do. Also an additional note they do go all the way up. It's not mechanical. However whenever I pull the fuse and put it back in to reset them they go all the way up and then retract like they're supposed to when you open the door but they never go back up no matter what I do.

Another MB forum discusses this very issue. Supposedly this was the trick: reset routine or "normalize".

"I'm 95% sure your windows just need to normalize. try holding the window switch down until they open and keep pushing the button down for 4 seconds then close the windows up all the way and hold for another 4 seconds. Its very important the front doors are closed tight and the FRONT windows are closed too before you start!"

Apparently you may need to do this process if you disconnect the battery. Hope this helps!

Thank you so much for this solution. My rear windows were not also lifting after I close the door. I just did this and now it's working correctly
