Anyone with any advise on replacing the windows on a 1992 sl500? It seems easy enought. I got the material from a plastics store, cut it to size (One of the side windows ) and it fit right in.

I don't plan on sewing it back on, so here's my question:

What adhesive should I use to glue the windows in place ?

I wouldtry a 3M product called Super Weatherstrip Adhesive.

 

I have a 92 500sl also. Had to replace my window. Took it to a upholstry shop, had the sides and back done for 500.00. let me know how yours turns out. Also, are you having any ars light problems at all????

No light problems, but remote key doesn't seem to be co-ordinated with truck lock and door locks
