Idiots like you always go off on a tangent because they aren't smart enough to stick to the point. I didn't think you were an idiot from the start. You convinced me of that every time you made a post. And, you chose the tone of this thread, not me. Running off to hide and refusing to discuss this won't make you right. It proves to me that you are wrong and are admitting it.
Nowhere on those tuners' sites do they claim that a pulley creates hp. That's because a pulley doesn't. They don't lie like you do. Do you even understand the difference between a power adder and a non-power adder? It's becoming obvious that you don't. You need to do some homework before you start making hp claims. Re-read my post about the accessories.
Just for the record, I'll say it in this post just as I said it in my previous post. An underdrive pulley works as far as a performance enhancement. We disagree on the source of that enhancement and the consequences, the "costs", of doing it.
Your comment on nitrous is more proof that you're just a lame VW Bug mechanic trying to make it in the real world. Just because you opened a shop doesn't mean you know squat. Anyone can do that. You can only mildly modify $100K cars. You leave the big stuff to the big boys like RennTech, Brabus, Kleeman, etc. What about boost, you moron? Does that overwhelm you too? And just because you remove the speed limiter from an ECU doesn't mean you build 200 mph cars.
You're amazing as far as customer relations. If someone asks you to back up a claim you're making, you start name calling and trying desparately to make fun of their car? You're just a punk. A lying punk. It's okay if I call you names. Know why? I'm not trying to steal your money.
YOU'VE ANSWERED NO QUESTIONS SO FAR, JUST CALLED ME NAMES.
YOU EITHER CAN'T OR WON'T SUPPORT YOUR HP CLAIMS. YOU CAN'T BE TRUSTED AS A RESULT.
NOW, GO RUN AND HIDE LIKE ALL LITTLE PUNKS DO.

Lugnut... go back to the links I sent you... and if you still don't get it... go back again, and again. Your not gonna buy from me as much as I wouldn't sell you to you. Your an idiot and Im sure many a members on this forum have confirmed.
DO NOT REPLY TO THIS, WE'RE ALL IMPRESSED BY YOUR KNOWLEDGE.... YEAH RIGHT!
p.s. I distribute for all the tuner's I mentioned.

I thought you were done with this thread? As I already said, name calling won't scare me away. Whatever you supply to whomever doesn't mean you understand what you're doing or that it's worth paying for. You shouldn't be in this business, IMO. Maybe when we're through people will recognize that and avoid you and your products. Is that what you're trying to accomplish with your foolish behavior?
Do you think no one else is reading this thread and learning how you operate? Do you think other people want to deal with you knowing that if they ask you a question or wonder about a claim you make that you're going to make fun of their car and call them names instead of answering their questions? Maybe I won't buy anything from you... but maybe no one else here will either. You're not dealing with just me.
YOU STILL HAVE NOT AMAZED US WITH YOUR EXPLANATION OF GETTING SOMETHING FROM NOTHING. DID YOU STUDY ELEMENTARY PHYSICS? DO YOU REMEMBER THE CONSERVATION OF ENERGY LAW? CAN YOU APPLY IT TO UNDERDRIVE PULLEYS?
DOES PARASITIC LOSS OF HP MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU? ARE YOU ABLE TO TIE THAT INTO DRIVING THE ACCESSORIES WITH AND WITHOUT AN UNDERDRIVE PULLEY?
CAN YOU PROVE THE INFO IN MY POSTS IS INCORRECT? I CHALLENGE YOU TO DO THAT... AGAIN.
WHAT'S THE MATTER? LET'S HEAR YOUR EXPLANATIONS INSTEAD OF YOUR NAME CALLING SKILLS. WE ALREADY KNOW YOU CAN CALL PEOPLE NAMES WITH THE BEST OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD CHILDREN. LET'S SEE IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CARS.

I just realized you said you "distribute" for all the tuners you mentioned. That explains it to my satisfaction. You don't understand what you're selling, you just sell it. You're a plug-n-play kinda guy.

Subject: Under Drive Pulley
I'm considering buying an underdrive pulley for my SL600. Please help settle an argument I'm having.
He says the underdrive pulley adds horsepower, or creates it. If an engine produces 300 hp, he says an underdrive pulley will change it to 315 hp, for example.
I say it transfers existing horsepower that's being used to drive the accessories (power steering, AC, etc) to the rear wheels. It doesn't create horsepower, just makes the engine use existing horsepower in a different way. A 300 hp engine remains a 300 hp engine.
Who's right?
Thanks in advance.

This is something that people with the Jap cars use, but not worth it is a MB, plus that you end up running the alternator slower which means it makes less power and than if you have a good stereo you do not have the power.
MB has spent millions in research if to get extra power it was as simple as going to under pulley's they would do it. The newer cars are very sensitive to amps and volts going through the system, underpulley's would effect that and could cause problems.
Save your money.

Sir,
We don't offer an underdrive pully for the SL600.
Sorry.

There are a lot of vendors and tuners out there that tell the truth about pulleys. Info on pulleys is easy to find. I didn't quote them because I wanted to use sources mentioned by jags.
I had a 94 Mustang with a 5.0......I did change the underdrive pully.... I did get a kick off the get go....nevertheless, no HP's gained. My battery was always low. All the pully did was.........cause problems with power in the long run. Stay away from the smaller pully!!!
I am not 100% certain about the chips. I had got my son a Crossfire and there were alot of debates on that site about the chip. Seemed like in most cases a 10% increase was what everyone was getting. Not being a mechanic I generally buy the horse power I want in a model that is engineered for that specific horsepower.
