Default Is Extended Warranty necessary??

I just purchased a 2003 clk430 cabriolet with 28000 miles on it. The warranty company is asking $3300 for 4/100,000 warranty. Should I do this or wait? thanks

My guess is that your car is out of warranty already (four years) or very close. The longer you wait, the more miles you put on the car, the higher the price of the extended warranty. I suggest you make sure that the warranty you purchase be paid monthly (not in one lump sum) and allow for a refund if you cancel the warranty before the term period expires.

check to see what it covers, someare strictly drivetrain and engine
andwon't cover anything else like suspesion or windows or electrics. see how reputable the company is too. absolutly get the extended warranty. if its a Benz extended warranty go for it. some other warranty companies dont cover enough and you might not get your moneys worth unless its a big repair like a trans or engine. youll be glad you got the warranty these cars have lots of issues just when the warranty goes out.

Diffently read into it, what they cover, how much, ect. If it's from MB they should pay there prices. Remember they did there homework figured what the average cost is to your car and are planing on making a profit from you. If you work on cars at all and bank the cost for insurance most/ most of the time you'll have left over money. If you don't keep $3300 around for unexpected bills, and are puting the insurance on a loan it may be best for you

Yes it is necessary, I had my 2003 CLK320 driver's side door lock fixed for $740 at theMB dealer. When I press lock on the remote, the pin lock bounces up and down, sometimes it locks but most of the time not. You can check this link: https://www.carchex.com/

seems hawaii isn't that big to go around, and it takes time to get 100k (miles?).
