Default CLK Convertible needs fluid???????

Hi. I'm looking at purchasing a 2002 CLK with 125k miles. The seller told me "the top needs fluid"!!! What does that mean? Could that be correct? This one has a canvass top (not the hard top). I don't want to buy it and end up with a headache....I know nothing about the CLK....I've always owned the S class. HELP!!!!!!

Yah,it works with hydraulic fluid, and also have a different number as compare to other fluids,No matter wheather it would leak, obvious thing that it would need maintenance after using,Don't be afraid!!!!!
