Window tint getting scratched
here is mercedes stand on scratching on window tint. (to bad it aftermarket) here is a good way to fix it. you have what are called window scrapers that ride on the window (on the inside go to the dealer and get a new on retint you windows and you will be good for a while.
You guys are making this too hard.
Yeah, you'll probably have to open the door panels. Look near the rubber stripping where the window rolls down into the door. Locate something that looks like a hard or abrasive rubber or plastic lip that might scratch your window tint. It will probably run the length of the window.
Go get some molehair covering or something soft. Cut a strip of it and glue it onto the lip so the lip doesn't scratch the tint and instead of abrasive rubber, the glass touches sweet, sweet softness.

The tint needs to be replaced. At that time, the installer needs to place a felt strip along the plastic strip to prevent this from happening again. This complaint is quite common with Mercs and Beamers.
My 2012 C 300 don't see any scratches on it but then I remember back 15 yrs ago I noticed my 98 C280 got a lot of scratches on most of the widows and I didn't know it was from tinted film. So those scratches are from the tinted ????? Wow ,now I have to watch out for this because I was going to replace the tinted window on C300 to a darker one because right now they are see through may be it's 50% .
