I have a 2003 C240 and today when i started it, there was a fairly loud clicking noise coming from the dash. I popped the hood and made sure it wasnt coming from there and i was relieved to know it wasnt. So now there is a clicking noise that goes off about every 10 seconds. also when i turn the car off and on again the clicking noise stops.

 

hello that would be your footwell flap motor linkage that is broken and the motor is spinning inside of the linkage and causes that sound. could also be a fresh air flap motor or defrost flap. they all sond the same but just in differnt areas .

I have c300 2008,a weired noise from the brake squealing. I took it in the dealer in San Antonio, Texas. They could not duplicate the problems. A brake squealing is still there. I asked for tires rotation. Tires were rotated but I didn't know if they were balance or not. All tires were at 26.5 PSI when I drove out of the service. Tire manufacturing recommended is 28 PSI in the front and 33 PSI in the back. I was not happy at all. Left a message to service manager (B.) Never get a call back from him.
