Today was the second and third time my C240 just died pulling away from a traffic light (or 4-way stop). It runs out 1st gear, then right when it SHOULD shift, the engine sputters and the dash lights up like a christmas tree, until the engine cuts off. I have checked the info panel, no malfunctions. I ran an Actron code scanner, no codes. I used a high quality battery tester, good static voltage, good standby voltage, AND the alternator seems to be (at idle) putting out proper voltage AND amperage.
