Default Taking 6-speed manual apart

Did anyone go through that before? I have a problem with pulling front of tranny (bell housing) off. I'm using the puller that i've made (to push input shaft through) with a lot of hammering - nothing. It opens 1/8" and thats it.[/align]

Get a bigger hammer! HA!
Just kiddin'. I can only tell you what I do whenever I have to pull any transmission out from it's bellhousing. I always
put a smaller type hydraulic jack under the tranny first. Just take up the slack...don't JACK up the tranny. Now, when you're trying to pull the tranny out of the bellhousing, try lifting it just a teeny bit with the jack. Then if that doesn't work, lower it a teeny bit. How much is a teeny bit? A teeny bit is slightly less than a bit. OK. Now wiggle that thing out and quit hammering!
I have done probably hundreds of cars and this seems to help. I've never done a MB though. That's my "disclaimer" to get me out of trouble in case this doesn't work.
