stranded at a rest stop in CT. 94' c280 help!!
Hello, I need help with my 1994 c-280. I bought a 94 c280 last week in Vermont and I am on my way home to NJ as we speak. I had to stop at a rest stop because of a problem with the ASR light. In the middle of driving, my ASR light came on. My car will only move when I give it alot of gas. Is there anyway I can disable the ASR so I can go at a normal speed again and get home? Thanks you very much.

Greg, MB Roadside Assistance may be able to help you if you don't get other responses here. 1-800-FOR-MERCEDES (1-800-367-6372).
If you have a cellphone, you may want to post the number if somebody needs to 'talk you through' what you may need to do to get going. Good Luck
Bob

I'm not aware of a way to disable the ASR light since it's basically combining ABS and all other electronics in the car into one. It could be several issues, you may need to replace the OVPR, or ETA,but why it's in LM is anyone's guess.
Try driving it for 5 minutes or so, stop, recycle the ignition and the ASR light may go off and stay off until you stop and heat builds up again.
