Sluggish Key Fob
The key fob for my 2001 C240 is sluggish and will only work at a close distance. Is there a battery to change? If so, how do I get at it?
BTW, I'm told there is no Hanes or Chilton manusl for this car. Where can I get a comparable manual?

Move the little plastic slider at the top of the key away from the metal key and pull out the key.
You will see a greyish plastic thing in the groove from where the metal key came out.
Use the tip of the metal key to gently push the clip forward and while holding it there pull out the top
section of the plastic key holder.
The battery holder will slide out.
Change the 2 batteries (CR2025). You should be able to buy them from any outlet that sells watch
batteries. Make sure you follow the polarity of the batteries crrectly when fixing.
Fix it back into thekey holder and you are done.
SHAN.
