Default sleepwalker HELP: Anti-Theft switch on the Starter

Hello everybody,

sorry for my english but I am Italian ....

I am thinking to put a simple hidden "switch" somewhere in the car that disable the starter engine as an easy anti-theft system.

I know it is not the definite solution, but for sure will delay them a little.... at least I hope.

First.... is any of you aware what fuse number handles the starter engine ?

Second.... any electrical suggestion on how and where to cut the wire and insert the hidden switch cable ?

I was thinking to utilize the Starter engine Fuse to pick up the wire...

Do you think is ok ?

My baby is a C220 CDI SW - year 2003 - european model.

(for sleepwalker)

VIN#: WDB 203206 1F 400947 (7)
Motor N. 611962 30 650065

Please...Help me if you can...

I also accept any type of suggestion or critique on the matter.... [sm=feedback.gif]

Thank you all in advance, Riccardo [sm=icon_cheers.gif][/b]

Though I have boat-loads of suggestions, I dare not answer the question because it has been addressed to SLEEPWALKER. Rules are rules, right? The priest at my little town used to tell me that if I dont follow the law of the land, I would go to hell. I'd rather play it safe. Lugnut might risk being a sinner and help.

First of all SORYYYYYY... SORRYYYYYY [sm=headbang.gif]

To be honest... I did not know that it is against the forum rules to address a question to somebody in particular.....

This is my first time in a forum with a bunch of friends....sharing their love for these cars and (as I have seen) sharing their "not pleasure" to go to the MB Stealers for keeping their babes Healthy...

SORRY AGAIN.... [sm=smiley6.gif]

Now, going back to the problem.....

I would like to place the switch inside the car.... i still don't know where, but for sure in a place not easy to discover and easy for me to reach.

But ofcourse it depends from where i am going to catch the wires to interrupt.....

I don't want to dismantle the whole car....if possible of course.

My main doubt is where to get the "wire to cut" and put the switch.....

I have seen that the starter depends on many factors if it has to start or not....

Any friendly suggestion ??
