My wife's 2004 C320 Coupe has a badly pitted windshield. At certain sun angles, it's quite difficult to see through. Wife swears she hasn't driven through any Martian dust storms, so this seems like serious damage for what should be normal wear and tear on a 4 year old car. I've tried all kinds of scrubbing and polishing, but the pits remain.

Does anyone know of any service bulletins or recalls regarding this windshield? I've never seen such bad pits in such a short time before, so I'm hoping there's known to be something faulty and MB will fix it...
