Default Is this normal

Hello to all of you... i'm new here and i'll be verry happy if you can help me...

So here's the problem... I'm driving 1996 C 180 Classic. The car was bought brand new, but it caused so many problems, that i'm almost convinced that Meredes is not so good at all. But the hope is still alive, and after many many repairs and money spent the car is almost as good as new. The problem now is that after an battery failure the drossel valve doesn't work properly. This may be normal for an older car but this is the THIRD time i change drossel valve and the problem comes on and on. Everytime the battery fails it causes such a problem with the drossel. Please tell me is this normal or it's some fabric malfunction. I'm sick of paying 700 EURO every time and it will be helpfull if you can tell me if there's some other way.

Thanks in advance... Georgi Toshkov

Hmmmm i'm not very sure about the common name but this is the valve which regulates the proportion between the air and gasoline pumped into the engine! I'm not verry sure if this explanation is good but i guess you will understand

Thanks again
