There is a loud "kluck,kluck,kluck....etc." sound coming from behind the centre console vents.I have the climate controle on auto and when I start the car the noise starts and then dissapear after awhile .The ac and heater seems to work fine.Anybodyknow what this could be ?

 

This has happened to me in my C240. I posted it on here and they told me i had a broken footwell flap motor. It can be done without taking out your dash if it is a good mechanic. I didnt fix mine but it has stopped after about a month.

 

sounds more like stapper motor worn,yes if its the motor for the foot flap it can be replaced with out takin the dash out,but if its recirculation motor then you ll have to take the dash out,its easy to find out which motor you need by puttin on he MB DIAG IT WIL PONIT WHICH MOTOR IS DEFECTIVE.............
