i purchased a used 06' c230 sport. according to the manual i got 201 hp. is there anyway that i can get more horse power. ive seen some things that look fake on the internet. id settle for 300 hp or there abouts. anybody know?

 

OK, I'll answer this one>but........you may not like the answer. To get a 50% increase in horsepower, there is really only one
thing that would give you that kind of increase and that would be an add-on supercharger with a lot of boost. I don't know of any
kit for that car, and even if there were one, I don't think I would do it to that particular car for a variety of reasons. Be very
cautious of ANYTHING on the internet that claims to give you any degree of hp increase. Yes, you can add a bit with K&N filter,
exhaust mods, etc. but.......nowhere near the 300 hp you want. That's the real deal. Also, you could pretty much kiss your factory
warranty goodbye should you do something too radical. At least the engine part of it. Sorry to tell you this, but the way to do this
is to buy a car with the amount of horsepower that you want or at least close to it. I am not against modifications, being a hot rodder
myself for a long time, but.....in your case with that car, I think this is good advice.

 

much appriciate the honesty... cars to expensive to make mistakes. are there any possible upgrades. any minor upgrades. and will it be noticibly different.

 

For a cheap and easy way to gain about 3-5 bhp I would say a K and N air filter. It is not going to make it fast or give it a higher top speed but it does give a little bit of bhp.Nothing noticable in my opinion. I use them.
