When I turn steering wheel I can hear some metal clanking/gnashing. The car drives normaly, I can hear that sound only when I make a turn.

I've replaced front arm bushings 3 days ago, also I applied some cleaning spay on wheels ( to remove all burnt dirt from pads).

Is it possible that my problem related to to arm bushings? Is it just lubrication problem, or something serious?

Ok. Nobody responded on my post so I decided to visit MB dealership and share information with others (I noticed many people clicked on my post, so some of them must be interested in this problem).

That noise what I was complaining really was really getting worse and worser. So I was prepared to pay a big ammount of money for that service. But it wasn't so bad.

Noise was caused by a heat shield rubbing on the steering knuckle. Adjusted position of heat shield. Paid around $200 - and I'm a happy driver again.

 

what model do you hav a 202 or 203 year would be good also. some to look at really quick is if it is a 203 body look at your sway bad end links in the front? are the boots torn?
