Use OBD Reader to read the Malfunction code
and OBD Reader will also be able to CLEAR the
Malfunction code;
Of course; you want to clear up the malfunctioning
situation
Try this;
remove BOTH battery terminals from Battery
Turn Ignition on
Of course nothing will register as there is no power
Turn Key ON
Leave to Crank On/ON position for 60 seconds to
PURGE capacitors and resistors
Your MB memory will be WIPED OUT
Reset all your necessarys; including clock, alarm code,
etc etc.
Now BEFORE you do this; ASK your local MB Tech.
On American/Jap cars I have done this and successfully cleared the Mal codes, no problem.
MB's-sheesh; its always something eh?
OR USE THE OBDII Reader/Scan
