oh really. I never knew that. They really hand it to the front bumper .. amazing how these guys do that..

I want to know where do I buy the base. I mean the bracket sort of thing. I need some fancy and sober one. My C240 - 2002 does not have any hole. I want to buy some nice bracket ( or u can it a frame) .. .I am not talking about the border sort of thing. I am talking about the thing which will give license plate a flat base. Right now bumber is bit curved. First we use a bracket(or u can say frame) which will be concave curved from back side and flat from front. Then I either directly hang the plate with 4 screws or use a border sort of thing to look it mode nicer.

Any idea where can I find this bracket (curved thing)

I checked a lot on online sites did not find any for C 240 2002

Any help or idea ?

Most painfull is drilling holes on a clean bumber... Hailla it hurts a lot

Does'nt it !!!

regards

When I bought my car a guy came out with the plate & a drill. Next thing I knew it was mounted DEAD CENTER! I don't know how he located the position for it.
Let the dealer mount it for you. So if they screw it up, they replace your bumper, not to mention spraying it to match the car's color.

The car came with a bracket in the trunk when new. The dealer can always order one for you. There are two notches at the bottom of the bumper which lines up the bracket. Then you put screws thru the bracket into the bumper. The bracket no longer come painted, usually doesn't matter.

When I got my car, the dealer already mounted it, I wished they would have asked first, drilled 6 holes into the front bumper, ruined it, seems as though the bumper isnt made to have plates on it.
