HID LIGHT PROBLEMS PLEASE HELP...
I JUST INSTALLED HIDS ON MY 2003 C230 K. I INSTALLED PHILLIPS BULBS AND HELLA BALLAST.
ONCE I INSTALLED THE LIGHT FLICKER WHEN THE LIGHTS ARE ON AUTO, SOMETIMES WHEN ITS JUST ON.
IF ANYONE CAN HELP PLEASE HELP. SOME PEOPLE SAY I HAVE TO GO TO THE DEALER TO GET THE SAM REPROGRAMED.
IF THIS IS CORRECT OR IF SOMEONE KNOW HOW TO FIX IT PLEASE LET ME KNOW...
THANKS

I've read various stories about people converting a late model Mercedes to HID, and most have been successful and other, well one person set his car on fire. Yes, you will probably have to have the computer reprogramed. But there's a catch 22 here. The dealer might not do it as it is an after market part, unless your rich and bought the Mercedes HID. Did you call the dealer that you bought them from, a reputable dealer is usually very helpful in situation like this. If the HID dealer won't help or Mercedes won't, I would suggest you revert back to the regular lighting and get the Sylvania Silver St bulbs. These are the brightest bulbs I've ever used, as long as the healights are aligned correctly. Most cars come out of the factory with their headlights aligned to the low end of the scale. I take my cars and have them aligned to the high end of the legal height and width scale. Makes a hugh difference and I have never flunked headlight inspection.

If you installed the original MB (bi) xenons and your car had factory fitted halogens, then you need to get your car reprogrammed for xenons present. That is something your dealership can do with their stardiagnose system. I don't know about your dealership, but our experience is that most dealerships will do this for their customers, even if the (bi) xenons were not purchased through them.
Some dealers will charge something for the reprogramming; others won't...
