Default Help please....possible transmission problem?

hi everyone, i have a 03 c230kompressor with a big problem. yesterday I broke down on the highway...I started to hear this high pitched noise that went with rpm's...after a few minutes the car started to decelerate and felt like it was out of gear. I pulled over and sure enough when trying to accelrate nothing happend just rpm's going up no gear.
Car was towed to MB dealership in the area. 6 hours later and $750 later car was supposably fixed.....they stated that they have replaced the transmission contact plate.
so everything great car works and drives. I get back on the road today and I start hearing the same noise.....sure enough a few minutes later same thing.....car won't **** into higher gears and loses speed. I pull over "park" turn the car off and back on and shift into"d" but no gear... same for the reverse. I tried a few more times....sometimes it would shift into 1st? gear and accelrate very slowly and the loosing gear again.
anybody know what this is?
thanks for your help in advance...

I am having the same problems. See my posts under CLK 500 transmission problems. I also had the contact plate replaced. My car will drive but that was not the problem. The car now slips and has trouble getting through the gears, as well as vibrating through 2nd and 3rd. They are telling me now it could be the torque converter. 3000 dollars though[:'(]. Still waiting to see what happens.
