I dont' know which bushing that the dealer was talking about. (They did not remove any part to observe. They talked just from the feel.)

The only thing that I've noticed so far is that the stick vibrates the center console it touches when the rpm hits 5000 or so.

That's why I wear briefs and use a cool air intake system. I leave my zipper down a lot. [sm=guilty.gif]

I was going to say those holes are a sign that you need to buy some new underwear, until you mentioned the zipper.

Recalls are safety-related. They include fires and other deadly things. Things like a cooling fan fall under TSBs and are not recalls.
Not all recalls are safety related. I work in an auto dealership (not MB) and our recalls also can include emmission or mantenance items. Generally the safety recalls have no expiration based on vehicle age or mileage, whereas emmission and maintenance recalls tend to expire based on those factors.

I'm not trying to flame you or arbitrarilly argue so please don't take it that way.

I should have been clearer. I meant government-mandated recalls are safety-related and I guess also smog-related, since that would be a health issue. They don't care about maintenance. We're talking about voluntary recalls initiated by the manufacturer versus government-mandated recalls.
