Lugnut, I was only kidding about the handicap thing, Actually I get around pretty well most times with a cane. Today, it is raining, foggy and humid, and I can barely walk. After this divorce is over, I am thinking about moving down to the Keys, as I am apply for full disability, on my companies policy. Friday they sent an announement they are cutting all sales employee's commission from 30% to 5%, well I makie most of my income on commissions. With our disability policy I can make more money tax free and still earn $1500 a month with penalty to the disability.

PS: Dead Pedal comes from the Railroad term Dead Man's Pedal on a RR engine. Years ago an engineer had to keep his foot on the Dear Man's Pedal, if he didn't the engine would brake and bring the train to a stop. this was don't, I am told, if the engineer had a hear attack, fainted, the train would stop on emergency. Which is something like the BAS Mercedes has, the engine automatically drops all it air into the brakes and you come to a stop, and according to how long the train was, that still could take a mile or more. The engineer's called it a Deaf Pedal, They were spooked by the word man . I had a technical name, something like emergency brake engage pedal or somehting like that

 

You should move to the Southwest. The dry air is more therapeutic. People move to Florida to grow old and die, not to recuperate. Besides, Atlantic/Carribean hurricane activity is suppose to increase markedly in the short term future. You don't want to be disabled, living in the Keys, and facing a hurricane.

 

You know your right. Alsoi, I did read about the storms increasing down in Fla. There are a lot of places I would like to go, but until this divorce is over and I recuperate from the recent heart attack and last week I found out I had a TIA (transient stroke) brought on by all the BS from my old lady, I probably be here for a while.

 

it's mounted higher. as far as i can remember, there's no obstruction there. still better to make visual check.

From what I see from the pic, it looks like the harness is pulled own to gain access to the swith, I am correct in this assumption?

it's just a control module. your car may not even had it for daytime running lamps are only applicable to other countries like sweden, etc.

 

I realize it is a plug in thing and not rocket science, But I was eluding to, seeing that USA cars don't require DRL's is the connection N35 even there? As I said on a previous post, I had a US spec 3 series Bimmer, and to get the DRL's working all I had to do is swap out the headlight module for a new module with a DRL headlight module. In the picture the position N35 contains only the DRL module, at leas that is what I see from the picture?

Interesting, my dealer gave me a copy of the ICU aka old battery box/black box where the computer controls reside and according to that the DRL module resides inside the box. I started to take it apart, but I didn't disconnec anything so I didn't get as far into the "box" that I need to go. But our of the three inquires I have made , 2 locate N35 under the dash, the dearler's information has it inside the black box.
