Mercedes foot break 1995 c220 model

Default Mercedes foot break 1995 c220 model

Hello,

Im new to this website and need some information or know how.

As stated i have a C220 1995 model merc and my foot break doesnt work anymore basically the leaver the we pull to release the foot break has no tension and when i push down on the foot break it doesnt look up so i wonder if any1 can help me resolve this problem plse cause im trying to save me some cash so if an1 can help me that would be great.

Uneek, if Sleepwalker doesn’t have answer I may as I have had the same problem with my S320 95'
Simple your parking brakes ether need adjusting or PARKING brake PADS are very wear down.
Most likely need adjusting, if way out of adjustment the foot brake will go passed the locking teeth on the ½ moon cam. Good luck

Hey guys,

Thanks for your info. But the thing is when your foot breaks are working then when you pull on the release leaver it you can fill the tension of the release wire behind. But my one has no tension when i pull out the release leaver it stays out so what im thinking is that the wire must of come loose or something thats what i need to find out.

Sanddog if thats what you mean then i actually need more help my moutoring knowledge goes as far as checking the oil and radiator water level hahahaha
