Default Fiber Optic system

I just had my radio probrammed to accept a OEM fiber optic cd changer for my 2000 C230 Sport. Now that my radio knows I have a cd changer should I be able to see lights from the fiber optic connectors in the trunk?

yes.

you can do the wake up test.

have somebosy turn the radio on/off and it will flash twice.

the cd changer will flash back too to confirm that the signal is recieved (wake up signal).

A word of warning, it is not advisable to look for the light at the end of a fibre optic cable if the light source is produced by a laser.

OK I noticed the Signal from teh Radio but I would not be able to see the signal from the CD Changer if it is plugged in. I just hope that it is the changer not the fiber calbe that is suppost to deliver the return signal.

then the cd changer is faulty.

i think it's not new cd changer.

try disconnecting and reconnecting the power again then do the wake-up test.

optic fiber flash twice... the socket inside the cd changer for optic fiber also must flashes twice. if it doesn't, then it's either faulty or not adapted.
