A few issues with my new Benz
Purchased the car in December brand new. and since then have had a few issues with it.
1. Blower motor would not shut off so it drained the battery. Had the car towed to the dealership, replaced blower motor. Seemed to be fine. Until...
2. Was on my way out of town this past weekend and all of a sudden KaPOW!! No windshield wipers, no turn signals, I pulled over and shut her down. My HID's and running lights stayed on even after the key was removed and the car was in park and there was a very loud humming coming out of the front grille. The dealership has had it for two days now and have not been able to tell me what's going on obviously some kind of computer issue?
Any one experience anything similar???
Thanks in advance.
You say "brand new in December". I'm assuming it's a 2008? What model?
If it were me, and the car was brand new, I'd let the dealer worry about it. Just my opinion.
Have them make it perfect. You bought new, you should be treated very well.
Sometimes you don't get good treatment. Then go to another dealer, regardless of where you
bought it. You have that option.

I thought Mercedes did some serious testing when they came out with the new 08' computers because a lot of complaints with them and electrical problems. Is yours an 08?
Don't worry I completely intend to let the dealership handle it!! The car has less than 5000 k's on it. Ridiculous!!!!
It is indeed an 08, I guess not enough serious testing was done on those computers.
It's still at the dealership (the only one in my small hick town BTW) They said they can't figure out what the deal is cause it's running fine now (of course)
Not much satisfaction at my end it would be nicer if they could find the problem and fix it.
They gave me a SUBARU!!! To drive around in, should've bought a SUBARU I guess. LOL

thanks for the laugh mrcoyote
now i don't feel so bad.
My winter mats finally came in after 3 months of waiting for them so when I get this car back
I will make them throw them in for all the pain and suffering I've been enduring.
I'm up in Canada so I'm gonna have to check out the lemon law here
I know we have something that protects us against faulty vehicles

ARGGGHHHH!!!! It's been a freakin week now and still nothing. Some tech in Germany is checking things out now. They said they can't duplicate the problem and it seems to be some software issue. BANANAS!!! He wanted to release the car to me after doing nothing whatsoever to it. I told him to keep the thing until something gets changed. How do you say PIECE OF **** in german....Anyone????
