For most people, a 5-30 or a 10-30 synthetic like Mobil 1 is fine. If you are a COSTCO member, they have
cases of 6 bottles going on sale soon at $8 off per case (limit two cases) and both weight oils. I think the sale
starts on Apr. 4 or thereabouts. Their regular price is around 30 bucks a case I think.

WELL HERES HOW IT WENT W/ THE OIL. I CALLED THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD TO USE THE 0-40W, SO I DID THAT AND MAN THERE PROUD OF THAT OIL. YOU GUYS JUST USE THE 5-30W AND STILL GET 8-10,000 MILES OUT OF IT?

Unless you are living in the North Pole, a zero weight oil isn't really necessary, but........yes, a lot of people use it.
It's very thin at startup, so in cold weather it makes it easier for the engine to turn over. The weight of the oil has
nothing to do with the oil change interval. Apples and oranges. By and large, dealerships are the most expensive way
to go for most things. Some people like them. Some don't.

Evil, you done good! This is the correct oil for the engine as it meet the MBz quality standard rquired by your engine - - refer to your Owner's Manual for further detail.

Enjoy!

0W40 Mobil 1 is a good choice, however the shop I go to uses 5W40 Pentosynth which is a German synthetic. Probably worth consideration. Some dope had put 5W30 Castrol Synthetic blend in my car and it went through the engine like **** through a tin horn. Since changing to the Pentosynth I no longer use oilRegards,Will
