C320 4matic transmission quit?
I need some advices: My 2003 C320 4Matic transmission can be engaged in both R and D. The car can be moved within 2 minutes then the car stop moving. I have to shut the car off for 10-15 minutes then the cycle begin again with the same result.
I buy a transmission dipstick from the dealer and the fluid is full and has no smell and red color. Have codes P2066 and P 2069. The history codes were P220A, P2221 and P2502 and I have no idea what wrong. The CEL is on. No noise when engage in D or R
The car has been driven by my wife for the last 8 years on a daily basic and it came back to the drive way on a flatbed yesterday. She said it just quit on her; stepping of the gas pedal only raised the engine speed up so she called for a flatbed.
I know nothing about MB. Can someone give me some ideas what could be wrong with the transmission. The car been service regular with the local MB dealer until last June. Thank you very much in advance.

if the car is shifting through the forward gears, then the conductor plate might be fine, I would check the gas pedal first. I actually just replaced a gas pedal on a 2003 or 2004 C240 last week.

About two minutes after I put it in D or R, the transmission will act like it is in Neutral. I have to shut the car off for like 10-15 minutes then restart it and it'll do the same thing. It'll speed up to like 35-45 MPH for only 2 minutes the stop pulling. Could it be the conductor plate? It does the same thing in Reverse.

I've replaced the throttle potentiometer and it's no help. Replacing the conductor plate helped restore everything. After clearing the adaptation values and the codes (I've never did). Lord and behold: Everything comes alive. 85 miles test drive and all normal shifting. Thank you Chassis221. It was not fun when you're underneath the dripping fluid from the valve body, but it worth it.

The MB dealer part person was helpful in the repair, he gave me all of the parts I need to do the repair. He has told me it's a very common defect (Conductor plate) in MB transmission (A/T) for decades. Lol.
