My wifes early 03 C230 Sport Sedan's wipers quit tonight. They work when the washers are activated and they work when using the single pulse mode. But, they refuse to move when in any of the modes selected with the stalk switch.

Fuses are all good. No other symtoms. The car has the rain sensing option and that fuse is okay as well.

Any ideas?

 

if the wipers work when the washers are activated and in auto mode when it rains then switch on the stalk is most likely the problem. have u any work done to the vehicle recently where the steering wheel was removed, if not id say internal problem with the stalk, even though it activates the washers the switch part for manually operating may be bad. its not hard to replace. good luck
