The head-liner covering the manually sliding shade for my sunroof is pulling loose. I tried getting a little glue inserted and pressed back into place but to no avail.

Is there a reasonable way to get the shade cover off entirely so that I can re-glue the whole thing on the workbench?

if you have just a standard sunroof and not a panoramic sunroof, the sunroof glass has to come out then the shade will come out.
the glass has 4 torx screws , 2 on each side. you must remove the rubber accordian pieces to access the screws. but when reinstalling the glass youll need to align the glass or youll have wind noise and possible water leaks
