Hi, can anyone please advise. The BAS/ABS/ESP warning on my 2002 C320 started flashing today and the car has gone to limited power only three gears in the box it seems. Any advise would be appreciated.

 

I'm having a similar problem. after jumping the battery (from another charged battery) the check engine light, bas light and another one came on. These lights come and go, but when they are all on, the car won't shift from 1st gear. I'm also unable to use the manual override. Can anyone please help?

 

The problem on mine was the speed sensor, after cleaning it all was fine but had a new one put on later.

 

jdsimms, did you jump it directly on the battery posts? That is a bad thing to do on these, If you can read fault codes out of it that would be helpful... Otherwise, try disconnecting the battery and tie the cable together so that they are touching for about an hour. This will drain all the power out of the vehicle systems and should clear all the codes. Next time jump it from the points under the hood. I think the 202 chassis had a big black box on one of the fenders with a red plus on it.
