C230 Clunk - front left

RE: C230 Clunk - front left
I agree with the yikes part for sure.
It seems there's something there they are overlooking and I know it can be hard to find sometimes.
There are also Factory Technical Representatives who visit the Dealers periodically and help resolve difficult and illusive defects. Ask your Service Manager if they have contacted Technical Assistance for help with the diagnosis. They may schedule a visit to look at your car. Ask if you can help expidite assistance via the Mercedes Customer Assistance Line 1-800-FOR-MERCEDES (1-800-367-6372).
I'm sure they would like to find it as much as you want it found. You've got a history that should carry you into factory assistance after warranty expires for some short period but the best thing this poor parts person can recommend long distance is offer to leave the car with the dealer in exchange for a loaner car until they can find and effect the repair.
With the cost of loaner cars being high on the Dealers expense control agenda it should serve to encourage them to persist to success or maybe its time to trade in for new? I only suggest that because I've seen it on occassion.
I wish you success and keep us posted.

Hi Les4parts
I have a noise in the front right suspension of my 2000 s430. Dealership says it needs new ball joints, but when i push down on the front fender the noise sounds like its coming from the strut. Just had the seals replaced on both front struts about 12k miles ago. Any idea what the sound could be?
Thanks
