My drivers seat on a 2000 E430 is not as firm as the passengers after 56K miles. My question is: Does anyone know if I remove both seats can I swap any seat cusion parts e.g. the seat cusion or supports between each side? What part numbers on the significant seat parts that aid in the seat bottom support are identical for left and right?

 

Why not just fix the driver's side seat ?

The you'll have 2 GOOD seats.

 

seat is the same except for the backrest if you got electric adjustment with memory.

To answer SL600_Cruzin's question. I will of course attempt to repair the drivers seat. It does not actually appear broken - just not as firm. Once I take both seats out I will review what can be done. I didnt really want to tackle it unless for sure I new they could be swapped. My neighbor will have a fit. Every car I have owned has had the seats out at some time or another - He will be giving me a hard time for sure. Better wait for a weekend where he is out of town
