Hi, I have a 94 C200, the coolant warning light remains lit permanently.
I have unplugged sensor at bottle and tried it both open and shorted, no change.

My question is two fold
a) Any ideas as to why light on and

b) How the heck do you get instrument cluster out to check for short and replace some blown bulbs behind odometer display.

light answer it could be a faulty sender unit or a lose conection or short sender unit this should be located on the actual radiator its self check these first
dash board this is a right f/..'.. on take of stering wheel you are suposed to have a special tool for this but a couple of blunt knives will do if you look at the bottom of the panel you will just abou see a couple of metal clips push the knife into these ther may be four two top two bottom i carnt realy remember and carfully pull out dash it will come just be carfull not to break glass best of luck
