When purchasing the car, the auctioneer stated it was the panoramic evo se c200 cdi...on the log book it just states c200 se cdi..the car is a 2004 54 plate.

The car has the alloys that you got on the panoramic evo (which i think are 17"), it has the panoramic sunroof, the mats say evolution, the radio/cd looks like the newer style..

Would the log book say its panoramic evo?? Do standard se cdi coupes come with the panoramic sunroofs?

How do i tell which model this is?

 

Your model was never sold here but I would assume it is simply a C200 se cdi. The Evolution package OPTION probably includes the 17" rims, mats, pedals, etc. On my older 2002 C230 Sport Coupe, the panoramic roof was a separate option as was the Evolution package, leather, BOSE sound, etc.
I think your manual is correct. It would not include pamoramic in the name but undoubtedly has it mentioned somewhere inside. Every manual includes every option even if it is not on your specific car. The auctioneer has enhanced the name for descriptive purposes. Cars sold here often include the Panoramic acronym for the same reason.

I only have a sales brochure from 2003 for Canada. Please note that different model years and countries may not include all this equipment.
The Evolution Package (sport coupe only) includes: 17" 7 spoke alloy wheels with 225/45 ZR17 high performance tires, colour-keyed exterior door handles, enlarged, polished stainless-steel exhaust tip, 3-spoke sport steering wheel with raised thumb grips, leather covered shift ****, rubber-studded aluminum pedals, patterned aluminum door sill appliques.
While not in the brochure, I believe Evolution floor mats were also included.

My 2002 (non-Evo) had the exhaust tip and sport steering wheel as standard equipment.
I also got the leather shifter free with the 'Panoramic roof / full leather' combo option only in 2002 since the car was de-contented in subsequent years.

As I said earlier you have a C200 se cdi. You also have the Evolution package option. The word Evolution is no different than saying leather or sports seats or BOSE or automatic. They are all just names for options. I assume 'C200 cdi' is on the back of the car? My (non-evo) car and other Evolution equipped cars all say the same thing on the back: "C230" or "C320" on one side and "kompressor" on the other. There are NO sport coupes of any model or year that have Evolution or Evo in the proper name or on the badging on the rear of the car.

Beside the Evolution package and automatic (I've got it), other stand-alone options available (in Canada) in 2003 included curb side tilt-down mirror for parking assist, power steering column (must have memory seats), 10 way power seats with memory for seats, mirrors & steering column, heated front seats (I've got them), Panorama roof (got it), heated headlamp washers, rain sensor wipers, alarm system, full leather (got it), BOSE sound system with 7 speakers (got this), COMAND nav system, tele-aid, 6 disc CD changer in glovebox (got this), choice of two types of phones and finally metallic paint (got it).
Options could be different in different countries and model years.
