Brake Trouble?!?!?!?!?!??!
Alright, heres the story. I just recently came back from Jerusalem, I been there for about 2 months, and was getting ready for work. Of course I checked the oil and tire pressure before I started the car but when I started the car, which is a 1999 Mercedes Benz C280, the BAS/ASR light turned on. I ignored it, when I started to reverse my car it made a high pitch squeaking noise, again I ignored it. So I pull out of my drive way and began to drive to work, I then realized everytime I push down on the brakes the car starts to squeak. I pull over and look at the brakes, you could feel the heat from the brake calibers and the back right brake pad looks dented (deformed), so I decided to drive the car home and use my brothers car to get to work.
I know its something to do with the Brake Pads, but if anyone could give me their insight that would be helpful and if I need to clear anything up or give anymore detail just ask.
Thank You
PS: If anyone needs pictures of the brake caliber to see what kind of damage there is just ask and I will post it.

How long were your gone? Was the car stored in or outdoors? Is your location humid? Reason I'm asking it seems that besides the possible bent brake pad one or all of your calipers might be "frozen" due to either water in the brake fluid, corrosion, etc. If it were me I would have the entire brake system drained, calipers rebuilt, new pads, new brake fluid, and new or resurfaced rotors (if they were damaged) at a minimum. I had a toyota I left in my garage here in Hawaii while I was off on an extgended business trip (5 months), came back and had the same trouble. Good luck!
Hmmmm Hard to say since I live in Hawaii and everything is very expensive. If you go to an MB dealer the price will be premium but I think the job would be done correctly. On the other hand, if you an find a good MB independent, I feel it will be much cheaper and the job just as good if not better. I would say about $500.00 or less but maybe others on the forum would have a better mainland estimate. Keep me posted
probably your car's braking system had the main problem... this sytem is the one responsible in bringing the machine into a safe and complete halt..its always advisable to keep those braking systems maintained and regularly inspected. i had once replaced my braking system with a mercedes brake calipers...i had noticed defects on it and like you, the car had squeaking noise.better try replacing your calipers..
