I own 1997 MB C230, is it ok to take my car to PeP Boys shop to replace new brake pads, or must I go to MB Services? let me know. thanks. Joel [sm=gears.gif]

Yeah, any brake shop can do it. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise or try to scare you into taking it to a dealership. PepBoys will be a much better deal too. You'll save enough money to take your babe out to dinner half-a-dozen times.

Make sure sure to ask around before you take it to pep boys because their might be better deal out there.
I took mine to hibdon tire plus and changed all 4 rotors and brake pads for $800. and the dealer wanted $1300. which would you choose ($800) Thee. But it all comes down to what you want (don't ge ripped off is the best advice I can give you)

Definitely shop around for the best price. Look for brake specials as well. There are usually a couple shops advertising in the Sunday paper.

There's a question you want to ask them when you've narrowed it down to one. Ask them if they have the wear sensors for your brake pads. What you're really asking is if they even know about them, but without offending them if they do. Hang up if they act stupid and find another place. I doubt there are many places that don't know about them, but you never know.

You're probably looking for more than this, but it may be enough to get you going. Look at the images posted by sleepwalker.
