2006 C230 - Self-adjusting Tranny | Can I reset the ranges?
Good afternoon!
Searching for some tech advice.
My C230 is now back in business after some suspension issues. Part of the repair also included a software upgrade that made downshifting into a stop nice and crisp...the car smoothly comes to a stop vs. a choppy response.
However what is different is that the car is very "relaxed" now and tends to want to upshift more quickly when coming to speed. At highway speed its responsive, around town it tends to need a "kickdown" or else it lags. I am trying to train the car through the self-adjusting shift computer but its not as crisp and responsive as I'd like.
I know at the dealership they reset the ranges for customers quite easily - is there a code or a setting in the on-board computer where I can set the ranges myself? Any advice from the MB guru's here?
Thanks!
Jeff
