Hi, I'm new to the forum. My wife and I were used car shopping and came across a used 1999 C280 with 108k miles for $9999. Is that reasonable? What sort of issues might we run into with the miles? What about a few years from now when it has 150k-200k miles on it? Is there anything that starts to fail around those miles?

 

I have a 2000 C280 Sport with only 53,000 miles on it. My whole family has been buying mercedes since 1979 and we have owned about 8 since then. Sometimes it doesnt matter how much miles are on the car but like any car the older they get the more problems they get. For example my dad had a 1987 300SD with 170,000 miles on it and the only problems that we had with the car is that some of the windows would not go down. If I were you i would keep looking around for a c280 with less miles on it. Believe me they are out there.
