Newbie here and need a little help or advise. I have been driving SUV's for many years so I am new to all this Mercedes stuff! Just got a 2007 C230 Sport without the pre-wired phone or navigation. I called dealership and got a quote of $4300 to get the stereo system with navigation and then another $1400 to get the phone installed. I then went to a place the dealership recommended and their quote was $3500 to change out system to one with navigation, bluetooth & satellite radio.

Is there another alternative? Really want the phone---but I want it to work like it is supposed to through the stereo and steering controls. I have a portable navigation in the SUV that I can use in this car----or thinking of getting a newer smaller portable one for a much more affordable price.

What you should have done wasbuy aC class that had a phone already in it.(LOL)What you can do is get a hold of the dealer you bought from and have themorder a phone and they will install it for you.
