is it simple to change the car battery of a c230k? or do u recommend having me take it to a mechanic and having them do it? it sounds very simple to do..But is there anything they have to do that im not aware of like reprogrammin anything? the local benz mechanic can do it for under 200, but i can go to Checkers or Pep boys and get one myslef for 100...what should i do?

 

The battery is replaced the same way as on most vehicles. You may want to supply a seperate 12 volt power source while changing the battery. Doing it this way, you will most likely not have to re-sync things like your power windows, sunroof, etc.
You can supply the power source thru the lighter socket in the console or via the remote "positive" (+) terminal near the battery and ground it on the strut tower bolt.
