Default Srs alert after changing alt. And battery

Hey, I just recently changed my Altenator and Battery in my 2002 C240 (after car died on me) I reset everything, ESP, Time.. ect. But the SRS alert will not go out. Someone told me there may be a special battery for the SRS and it may have gone dead when the Alt and Battery went dead. Is this true and if so where is it and how could I change it? If thats not the case how do I get rid of the Alert?
Any help would be very appreciated!!

there is no srs battery. sometimes when the power is disconnected youll get an srs fault. you need to clear the codes.. or, after youve driven the car and cycled the key a certain number of times the light could go out, after the srs system does not see any faults over a certain amount of set time or key cycles.

I also have this problem on my c200, i have taken it to a garage and they reset the fault, the srs light did go out but when i turned the engine off and started the car agian it came back on. The garage told me there is no fault according to the computer but told me i might need to change the srs sensor.?

I've driven it two days and over 200 miles (Im in sales) and the fault is still on.. Also the car has started bogging and acting like it wants to stall when I come to stop lights and signs... Im really beggining to regret the purchase of this Mercedes, not only because of this incodent...
this is just one of SEVERAL very expensive repairs Ive had to make in the life of this car including; Transmission (warranty) 2 catalytic conv's, Radiator, Tourqe converter, atleast 1 break and rotor job a year, It goes through tires like I was driving Nascar. And then theres all the electrical problems... Door locks, automatic windows AND sunroof, Windshield wiper motor and ofcourse the Altenator.. And now its looking like I am going to have to take it back to figure out why its not running right.....
I have owned several cars, old and new and this is by far the most problematic vehicle I have EVER OWNED!!
And Ive owned a chevy cavalier and a ford escort!!
I think Im done.
