does anyone know how to remove the rear drivers side door panel? somehow the lock **** got disconnected and i cant seem to screw it back in without removing the door panel. any help is much appreciated. my thanks in advance.

 

Sure, just get a big pair of vice grips and rip it off. Just kiddin'....just kiddin'. On my 05 C230 I'm guessing it's the same. I've had all four of my door panels off over the years for various reasons, so I can tell you that most of the fasteners are hidden behind what you see. The trick is to GENTLY find them. You will see the part you pull to close the door is a "split" piece of plastic. You have to separate them carefully to get in there to the fastener. The material is soft, so if you just stick a screwdriver in there and twist it, you will ruin the handle. Then the rest of the panel is held on with typical door panel fasteners around the bottom, etc. Carefully pry them out. Torx-head screws here and there around the latch trim. If you can, find or buy a cheap set of door panel plastic "sticks" of different shapes and sizes. These things are so useful around your garage, they're nice to have anyway. And pretty cheap.

 

Should be a torx screw behind the SRS plate in the door...otherwise, nothing special comes to mind. Pretty basic removal from what I remember.
