Today I bought a nice, clean, 2003 A190, with low mileage, and good service history until 2015. I test drove it during the day and it seemed OK. But some problems have emerged:

1. The headlight stalk is faulty and high beam comes on by itself. As a temp fix I pulled out fuse 3 (high beam) but high beam still works!
2. The demister is intermittent in action. The A/C is capable of blowing icy air, but doesn't always. So tonight (cool, humid evening) the windscreen alternated between foggy and clear. This is with the AC on and set to demist.
3. The temperature light came on after a while in a traffic jam, and an audible alarm.

I'll buy a new switch to fix #1. I'll take it to a radiator place to check out #3; #2 has got me beat.

If anyone has any advice on these issues, or on any aspect of the A190, I'd be pleased to hear it.
