Loud Squeak

Loud Squeak
I recently adopted an '04 E55 and there is a loud squeak from time to time when I take off. Has anyone ever experienced this. Car is under warranty but dealer is giving me the run around saying this is normal. They also recently replaced the power steering hose. Initially the service rep said it was the turbo but I know turbo's, they wind up like a top not squeak. Any input will help

RE: Loud Squeak
My 03 S55 still does that. I had my rear axle replaced under warrenty and it stopped for about a month. It is doing it again and seems to squeek when it changes from 1st to 2nd gear. I could never get anyone to tell my why. I have just decided to live with it. I have found that in sport mode it does it less. I also found that it tends to do it more at mid throtle. So if I don't want it to make that noise I either very lightly push the gas pedal down or push really hard. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

if your loud squeek is typically only right after take off and is associated with a little surge in accelleration it is most likely the supercharger clutch engagement. although annoying, it is quite common, and shouldn't cause any other problems. mb is fully aware of this and typically will add/remove a shim to the clutch pack which ussually solves the problem for about a week. '06's have a new s/c clutch pack that seems to have cured this issue but not many have had any luck getting an '06 clutch pack installed under warranty in their earlier model car. it's definitely worth a shot since it is the only solution that seems to work.
