2001 E320 Sedan

My drivers side seat belt squeaks when pulled slowly. Every time.

My Mercedes mech says there is nothing to do. No place to oil, etc.

This forum has been very informative about the steering column squeak (replaced once, greased once, sqeaks again). I hope someone can help with this seat belt thing.

I also corresponded with Alan who posted previously. He's had the exact same problem -- with the same response ("nothing can be done"). That can't be right, can it? I doesn't seem to effect the safety of the belt, but it drives me crazy. It's a "whistle" the entire time the belt is being pulled into position, or when leaning forward.
