AMG or Not?

AMG or Not?

I new to MB! I'm looking at a 2003 CLK500. The dealer says its a AMG but it dosent say it anywhere on the car expect the rims. How could I tell if it's an AMG? Thanks for your help!

Open the bonnet (hood) and look for the AMG signed plate on the engine.

All amg models are only 2 digit numbers. You may have the amg package skirts and what not.

Unless the engine is signed, and doesnt say AMG on the back...sorry to say its not. Some really old models that weren't technically AMG's were allowed to be sent to AMG by the owner to have it "AMG'ED"
